OUR APPROACH

Decolonial therapy in North Carolina

A decolonial approach to mental health welcomes your full identity into the healing process. Whether you are navigating your migration story, family lineage, or lived experience, we believe your unique cultural and religious background provides essential context for holistic wellness.

At Resilient Roots, we bridge the gap between evidence based therapy and cultural wisdom. By integrating somatic therapy (body awareness) with trauma informed care, we ensure your journey feels steady, respectful, and deeply connected. If you are looking for inclusive mental health support in North Carolina, our community centered approach is designed to help you build a life rooted in strength and authenticity.

Somatic Work

Body-based practices support nervous system regulation, help process stored stress, and create greater safety, grounding, and connection within yourself.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

CBT is adapted with care for your values and lived experiences, helping you understand thought patterns, build new perspectives, and move toward choices that feel aligned.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy

DBT offers practical skills for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and healthy relationships while honoring the role of identity, ancestry, and community in your healing.

Trauma-Informed Care

Every session is grounded in safety, choice, and collaboration, with clear attention to racism, colonization, migration, systemic oppression, and intergenerational trauma.
