D'Mya's Approach
I believe in building a genuine connection with every client and creating a space where you can show up as your authentic self. Rather than making assumptions about your story, I take the time to understand your unique experiences, perspectives, and strengths. My approach is inclusive and culturally responsive, considering how culture, identity, family, and community shape your experiences and decisions. I draw from person-centered, mindfulness-based, and cognitive behavioral approaches, along with motivational interviewing and other strengths-based methods. We’ll work collaboratively to navigate challenges, identify goals, and support meaningful growth through honest, compassionate, and nonjudgmental conversations. I support clients navigating concerns such as anxiety and depression, helping you develop practical tools while reconnecting with your strengths and sense of self. My goal is to help you feel more grounded, gain clarity, and move toward the life you want to create.
About D'Mya Sanders, (she/her) LCMHC-A
Associate Therapist

D’Mya really enjoys getting to know people and hearing the stories that have shaped who they are. She believes therapy should be a space where clients feel seen, heard, and understood. She takes the time to build genuine connections with each client and recognize the strengths they already carry as they work together to understand what brought them to therapy.
As a proud alumna of Augusta University, D’Mya values connection, community, and lifelong learning. Her identity is deeply rooted in her Southern upbringing—from her deep Southern accent to the people, places, traditions, and experiences that have shaped her. Her Southern roots have taught her the importance of resilience, storytelling, and showing up for one another—values she brings into her work with clients.
Outside of therapy, D’Mya enjoys music, dancing, and writing whenever she has the time. She believes the things that bring us joy and help us feel connected to ourselves can be an important part of our well-being. Above all, she wants every client she works with to know one thing: they will be seen and heard.
